Best place to sit during a basketball game?

Although this question has been asked before it has been asked with budget constraints that I do not have. However I don't want to just buy the most expensive ticket uming thats the best place to sit? whats the best place to sit during a basketball game? I was thinking I would buy the tickets behind the players bench of his favorite team (the tickets are a lot in my mind! I dont even like basketball! like 350 a piece!) but i'm not sure?? Please give input! I don't know anything about basketball i'm not going to lie - but its his favorite thing! HELP!
