Isn't it ironic (and tragic) that the jews after the holocaust went on to oppress the palestinians?

I think it's only the Gazans who are oppressed due to Hamas taking control there, and attacking Israelis with bombs, suicide bombers and rockets. The other Palestinians live safely and equally in Israel, i think. The Jews were oppressed (and much worse) during world war 2 although they didn't attack anybody.
